Netgear genie for windows 10 64 bit1/8/2023 ![]() We have been working through this task for over a year prior to Catalina's release and will continue to do so. As such, we will need to rewrite an immense amount of underlying code in Genie to make it a 64bit application. The macOS Catalina release has removed support for 32bit applications, which includes all current versions of Genie. We have identified that Genie software will not run on the new macOS Catalina release. The last Mac operating system, macOS 10.15 Catalina, was released on 8 October 2019. Please keep an eye on our 64-bit Genie Compatibility Updates on our Community to monitor our progress. ![]() ![]() We remain committed to providing a 64-bit version of Genie before Apple ceases support for macOS 10.14 Mojave.īig Sur is also transitioning away from Intel chips toward Apple-built ARM processors, and while we believe the transition should be relatively simple, we will be unable to confirm a 64-bit Genie will run on these new processors until we have completed 64-bit development. We are currently finalising development in a few key areas and will be performing testing to resolve any potential bugs that may have arisen in the platform upgrade from v17 (Genie 9.4) to v19 (Genie 64-bit).Īpple have released their latest macOS version 11.0 Big Sur at 10am PT 12 November 2020 (4am AEST 13 November 2020).īig Sur operating systems will not support 32-bit applications and as such, Genie will be inoperable on both macOS 10.15 Catalina and macOS 11.0 Big Sur until we are fully 64-bit compatible. This is to ensure we are confident in providing a stable and functioning version to the majority of customers that need to update for Medicare Webservices before 13 March 2022.Īt this moment in time we have successfully updated our test Genie environment to 4D v19 (64-bit compatible) and have passed notice of integration with Medicare Web Services. We will initially only be releasing this as a beta release, which we are intending to release before the Christmas break. Our developers are currently still working on delivering a 64-bit version of Genie before the end of the calendar year. Similar to their Catalina and Big Sur releases, this operating system will not support 32-bit applications, and as such, all current versions of Genie will not run. Please follow our 64-bit Community post for the latest updates.Īpple have now released their latest macOS version 12.0 Monterey on 26 October 2021 AEST. Now that we have delivered on Medicare Web Services before the 13 March 2022 cut-off date, our Genie developers will be working on completing our 64-bit application as the highest priority. You can now update your Genie to v9.4.6 or above to connect your practice with MWS. Since our Monterey update last year we have made the decision to decouple Medicare Web Services (MWS) from our 64-bit Genie release. If you would like to participate after reviewing this information, please reach out to the Genie Product Team at March 2022 If you would like to join the early adopter group and access this version, we firstly recommend reviewing the v10 Early Adopter section on our Knowledgebase. The early adopter group will be involved in testing this 64-bit compatible version of Genie. This version of Genie is fully 64-bit compatible and can run on macOS 10.14 Mojave and above. ![]() We would like to advise that Genie v10.0.1 was released to our early adopter group today, Tuesday 23 August 2022. Once this version is released by 4D, we will be able to provide more information on when we expect Genie will be certified to run on Ventura. Additionally, we have not conducted extensive testing of Genie on this new macOS version and it is therefore our recommendation that you do not upgrade to macOS Ventura once it is released.ĤD anticipate that their next version certified to run on macOS Ventura will most likely be v19.5, which they plan to release late-November 2022. Whilst Genie v10.0.1 (currently available to early adopters) is fully 64-bit compatible, the underlying 4D codebase v19.2 is not certified to run on a Ventura operating system. As with previous macOS versions, Ventura will not support 32-bit applications, thus Genie v9.4.7 and below will be inoperable on this version. Apple are due to release their latest macOS version 13.0 Ventura in October 2022.
